Oppo, show me the abandoned cars of your neighborhood. Why do you think they’re abandoned? How long have they been seemingly forgotten? Etc.
I’ll start. We moved in to our home in March of this year. We decided to purchase it in early February. At that time, this beige/gold late ‘90s or early ‘00s Camry was parked in front of the house to our right. That house has since changed owners, we’ve had two major snowfalls, a flooded street due to a freak thunderstorm, and a blistering hot summer.
The Camry still sits. Up until about a month ago, its driver’s window was down about five inches. I can only imagine what that snowfall and the torrential rain did to the already grimy looking cloth seats.
The registration expired in June of 2014, so it’s been stationary since at least that point. I can’t imagine what would make someone give up on it. These tend to sell for more than they’re worth based solely on the names “Toyota” and “Camry.” They are the preferred car for all newly licensed drivers in this county, and they’re relatively simple to work on. I have a friend that has one similar to this with 315,000 miles, and it just did 20,000 miles without an oil change. They were/are boring appliances, but they’re tough ones.
For now, though, this one continues to sit mysteriously in the street. I can’t imagine why the new owner of the house next door didn’t say something about it. I wouldn’t be pleased if the home I was buying had a decrepit Toyota in front of it.

There was an abandoned home in my old neighborhood that had a 70s Silver Shadow. :(

We have this Camry, a white GMC Sonoma with a flat tire and tags that expired in 2014 as well, and a yellow IROC Camaro in front of a duplex around the corner. The Camaro is slowly becoming part of the earth again, I think.

Jeez, do the Police ever come around or is it just a free for all?
My neighborhood sees very heavy street parking, if somethings been sitting somebody will notice and call the parking enforcement.

You should contact your local police to have the car removed. Most places have laws about how long a vehicle can sit ‘abandon’ on a public street.

There’s this wierd old car that the owner parked like 4 months ago and it hasn’t moved since, I think the owner is too lazy to work on it
(i may be that owner, and i might be lazy)

We’ve got a neighbor with a silver 90’s Protege sedan (exterior is in great shape, motor must be shot or something) that has sat in their driveway with one flat tire for five years...

We aren’t really in a “city” per se. We are on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by cornfields. The area is very rural compared to where I'd imagine most Oppos reside. People generally don't care about that kind of stuff around here. Our neighborhood connects to a very ritzy subdivision, so I'd imagine this Camry would be long gone if it was just around the corner. But, the more modest homes on my street tend to have more laid back individuals.

The closest one to me was a 10 year old (or so, I’m no expert) Caravan that had flat tires and no indication that it had been touched in at least two years. I noticed about a month ago that it had finally been taken for the last ride.

Honestly, I don't think they'd care. We are on the outskirts of town and surrounded by cornfields. It's a pretty rural area save for our subdivision.

I’ve got a tan 85 Cadillac Deville in my neighborhood that hasn’t moved in ages, the hood ornament has faded, the tires are all flat, it’s covered in cobwebs. Really the only reason it hasn’t rusted is because So-Cal won’t let it, and it’s in someone’s driveway to.
I also saw a dark blue 1969 Ford LTD just sitting there two summers in a row, I haven't seen that car since, and considering it wasn't kept outside all year, I have to wonder what happened to it.

I’d love to have more space in my area.

I don’t live in a neighborhood now, but my last one had an old GMC truck in someones back yard, and two houses before that there was an abandoned STI.

This piece of shit sent months with out movingast year at my apartment complex. Not sure if it was abandoned. But not moving and flat tires make it close enough.

There both gone now, but for a good bit of the summer, I had pretty nice looking Acura TL that had been flooded at the start of summer, and a 1st gen RAV4 that had been abandoned after an accident (had relatively minor looking damage to the rear corner, as well as a flat tire in front.)
There’s also a 1st gen Nova wagon in my parking lot that hasn’t moved at all in the time I’ve lived here, but it did get its windows cleaned and I think its registration updated at somepoint, so I think it is just severely neglected rather than abandoned.

There’s an old Mercedes 220D that has been sitting in the woods a few miles from my house. It’s on the list of Craig now.

I have both! And campers. Like straight up Breaking Bad.
We had a house where they must have evicted the renters, because we had a dumpster full of abandoned furniture in that driveway for a month as well.

People probably think the Safari is abandoned due to only getting moved once every like three months. Now though there's a white Grand Am that hasn't moved an inch in a long time. No clue where it came from, just showed up one day.

There was an abandoned Mk1 Jetta with a railroad tie chained around its engine, in the woods near a pipe organ shop I used to apprentice at in the late 90s.
When I lived in Queens, there was an abandoned Camry or similar on Jewel Avenue, with every crevice and gap filled with parking tickets.
